RHR volunteers must be 18 years or older to handle animals. After receiving your completed volunteer application, we will contact your references and try to match up your goals and skill set. Rottweiler Hearts Rescue reserves the right to deny any application for any reason. Applications are processed within 10 business days of receipt.*

* Application process time is dependent upon availability of references. To ensure your application is processed timely, notify your listed references that they will be contacted by an RHR representative.

Authorization and Agreement Terms

I certify that the information provided on this RHR Volunteer Form is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that, prior to being approved, this information will be verified. I authorize a RHR Representative to contact my references as listed above.
I understand that I am required to sign a Release of Liability and Waiver before volunteering at an activity. If I so choose, I can be assigned a Mentor until I feel comfortable to do an activity on my own. Additionally, I agree to provide my own automobile and health insurance.
I understand that any and all services performed for Rottweiler Hearts Rescue are on a volunteer basis and RHR will not be billed at any rate for these services
I understand a dog’s known behaviors have been discussed with me; however, an dog’s behavior is not completely predictable. I expressly waive the right to hold RHR liable for any behavior problem, damage, or other incident that may occur at any time or place with the animal.
I understand that all Rottweiler Hearts Rescue dogs have received an initial physical examination and inoculations. A record of a RHR dog’s known medical history is available.
I agree to assume full responsibility for the care and management of any RHR dog while it is under my care. RHR is not responsible for any actions of the RHR dog while in my care.
I agree not to visit the premises where a RHR dog is housed or remove any RHR dog at any time without written permission from the dog’s foster parent or a RHR board member.
I agree to give my permission for an RHR representative to remove a dog belonging to RHR from my premises and entry shall not constitute a trespass upon the premises occupied.
I agree to pay the costs, including attorney's fees, of RHR if action must be taken against me or my representative to enforce any of the terms of the Volunteer Application.

Release of Liability and Waiver

I agree to provide my own automobile and health insurance. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless Rottweiler Hearts Rescue (RHR) or any of its founders, officers, directors, and representatives of RHR, for liability, loss, claim, and demands that may occur from loss, damage, injury, or death to my person or property, in any way resulting from, or arising in connection with, volunteering for Rottweiler Hearts Rescue. I know the risk and danger to myself and my property while volunteering for Rottweiler Hearts Rescue and this is done so voluntarily and in reliance upon my own judgment and ability. I thereby assume all risk of loss, damage, or injury (including death) to myself and my property from any cause whatsoever. In addition, I agree to not hold RHR or any of its founders, officers, directors, volunteers, fosters, or RHR representatives liable for any physical, emotional, or property damages that are a direct or indirect result of activities involved in the placement, transport, training, or evaluating of dog in any way associated with RHR. This includes any and all activities I perform as a RHR volunteer. This includes any and all activities I perform as a Rottweiler Hearts Rescue volunteer. Authorization will expire five (5) years from today,
