Vincent AKA Vinny

What a dreamy guy!!! Meet Vincent aka Vinny! This precious boy has had a terrible start to life which in turn, required him to have his front leg amputated. But Vinny has no time to feel sorry for himself and is very grateful to be leaping around freely, playing with toys and his new foster sister, having regular meals and sleeping inside feeling warm and safe! This boy rode quietly in the car, spent time exploring his new house and yard and settled in for a night of peaceful sleep which he likely has never enjoyed. He has nice soft, fluffy fur which will be a gorgeous coat once its all grown back in!

Brody

Hi I'm Brody! I'm affectionate, maybe a little needy but I LOVE to be with my foster humans. I love to run and play with my sister Lacy and all my foster brother and sisters. I tend to be an explorer, always looking for something new and special to play with. I tend to be bullish at feeding time. I kinda want all the cookies in the jar. But my foster family is working on that with me, but my sister is usually finished eating anyway. So if playful, adventurous and loving sound like you, then I'm your guy.

Eartha (Adoption Pending)

I am approximately 6 years old and my favorite thing to do is snuggle! Notes from my fosters: "The days and life of Eartha. She has learned she loves people, all people, including kids, loves to snuggle, likes baths, loves her stuffed puppies, totally house broken, doesn't mind getting her feet wiped off before coming back in, likes getting her eyes wiped out in the mornings, does well in crate, though prefers when people are home and she is with them, cries when I leave, wags body and butt when we return home, knows "Come", does pretty good with "stay", still working on "sit" and "shake" and non reactive to squirrels.

Diesel (Adoption Pending)

Diesel is a lovable 2 year old male who will love his person or family with everything he is! Diesel loves to play. He needs a playmate to play with. He is SO loveable! Diesel is fine with non assertive dogs of any gender. He ignores his foster's little dogs when they say "leave me alone". He sits on command most of the time. He is house trained. He is respectful of gates. He does not chew on things unless given to him for that purpose. He wants to be loved! He follows his foster mom everywhere.

Adoption Information

Areas for Adoption

All RHR available dogs live in foster homes, indoors, as part of the family. Each dog is spayed, neutered, up to date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped. At this time, due to the size of our rescue, adoptions are limited to NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, and VIRGINIA. +/-6 hours from RDU.

Adoption Fees

Our total adoption fee is $250. This is divided into two parts: An initial, non-refundable $25 application fee and the remaining $225 balance. The $25 application fee "holds" the dog for you while we process your application, call your vet, and references, and conduct a home visit. The remaining $225 is due at the time the dog joins your family.

On average, it takes 7-10 days to process an application. We do operate on a "first application fee paid, first served" basis. Fee can be paid using the "DONATE" button below - please indicate in the notes that it is for an application fee, and the intended dog. If you have any questions about the adoption process, please email our adoption coordinator, Jay, at RHR.Adoption@gmail.com. NOTE: Please add rhr.adoption@gmail.com to your Address Book or Safe Senders List to make sure you receive communications from RHR and not have them go into your junk folder.
